Overview

Pear systems use two styles of Yealink handset. They do the same things. The difference is how you drive them. Take a minute to find your phone below, and the rest of this guide will feel familiar.
The T46 and T54 series have a colour screen with four soft keys directly underneath it, and line keys down each side of the screen.

The keys you’ll use most

The screen

The top bar shows the time, date, and status icons, for example a DND icon when Do Not Disturb is on, a forward arrow when call forwarding is active, or an envelope when you have voicemail.

The soft key labels are your best friend. If you’re ever unsure what to press, look at the bottom of the screen. The four options shown are always the right ones for that moment.

Which model do I have?

The model name is printed on the phone, usually on the label at the bottom of the faceplate or underneath the phone.

Frequently asked questions

My phone’s labels look slightly different to this guide. Older software on some phones uses shorter labels, for example Tran instead of Transfer, or Conf instead of Conference. They work exactly the same way. If you’d like your phone updated, contact support. What are the extra buttons down the side of my screen? Those are line keys. Pear usually sets them up as speed dials for your colleagues, with a light that shows whether they’re on the phone. See Speed dial & busy lamp keys. Can I move my phone to another desk? Your extension lives in the phone, so plugging it in elsewhere usually just works, but network ports vary between offices. If a move doesn’t go smoothly, contact support.
